Bio:- Dr. Peter Embí is a physician-scientist and a leading voice in biomedical AI, currently leading the ADVANCE AI Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. One of the founders of the field of clinical research informatics, he helped define and advance the discipline while leading many of the nation's major biomedical informatics programs, including the Regenstrief Institute and Vanderbilt's Department of Biomedical Informatics. He originated the concept of algorithmovigilance, the systematic evaluation and monitoring of AI and algorithmic systems in healthcare. An elected member of the National Academy of Medicine with more than 180 peer-reviewed publications, he has helped shape trustworthy and effective AI through efforts such as the NAM AI Code of Conduct.
