Sarah Rossetti, RN, PhD (Columbia University)
Bio:-
Sarah Rossetti is an Associate Professor of Biomedical Informatics and Nursing at Columbia University. She co-leads the NIH-funded CONCERN study, which developed and implemented an AI model inspired by nurse surveillance patterns to spot patients at risk for hospital deterioration, including sepsis or premature mortality—up to two days earlier than other early warning systems. Dr. Rossetti also leads the national AMIA 25x5 Task Force, bringing together clinicians, industry, and policymakers to tackle one of healthcare’s biggest pain points—documentation burden—and to explore how technology, including AI, can give time back to care. She is an experienced critical care nurse, 2019 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) recipient, and 2024 co-recipient of the Donald A.B. Lindberg Award for Innovation in Informatics by AMIA.
